Discovering the Borgotaro IGP Porcini Mushroom Museum

This activity will take you inside the Borgotaro Porcini Mushroom Museum, one of the food museums in the province of Parma.

The museum, set within the old city walls, tells the story of the strong connection between the Borgotaro territory and the porcini mushroom, a relationship not only gastronomic but also cultural, scientific and natural.

With this visit you will discover many curiosities related to the world of mushrooms, including anecdotes, popular legends and culinary traditions that people have passed on till the present day.

Possibility to combine the visit to the museum with a tour of the Historic Center of Borgotaro, a small gem at the foot of the Appennino – Tosco – Parmense, along the Via degli Abati.
